Enjoying my favorite "small thing" Happy 1st Birthday Charlotte!

This weekend was my daughter Charlotte's 1st birthday party! Bittersweet how fast the first year goes by. Since I have a passion for party planning and Charlotte is one of my very favorite "small" things I thought this was a good place to start.
I am obsessed with the little details that I truly feel make the party.

We held the party at a local carousel and did a modified rainbow color scheme. I wanted it BRIGHT and HAPPY! Just like our birthday girl.

The invitation  is so important to me. It really sets the tone for the party.

The beautiful and historic Nunley's Carousel in Garden City

The beautiful birthday girl!

The little touches that go a long way!
How adorable is this rainbow table skirt? It brightened up the whole room!

The lollipop ball that I made myself. I filled the vase (From TJ Maxx) with colorful gumballs

Whirly Pops & Gum Balls in a basket. The kids loved it.
Lollipops and Gumballs are from Dylan's candy bar.

I got the idea for this off of pinterest. Colored cutlery wrapped in matching napkins

The table set up:

The party hats matched perfectly and were a score at $1.99 per package from Target.
Who doesn't love that store?!

The snack tower. Everything was home made. Top layer is vanilla wafers with different colored vanilla icing, the second tier is chocolate covered pretzels covered in M&Ms (YUM!), and the bottom tier is my husband's famous rainbow cookies. These are always the first to go. Of course he made them custom colors to go with the party instead of the traditional red, white, and green.

"C" is for Charlotte's Carousel Cupcakes

These were made out of white chocolate and 100% edible!

The cupcakes were rainbow cake with different color frosting.
Do you love the blinged out #1 candle?

Party favors for the adults. It was worth getting up at 5:30 am for freshly made Dunkin Donuts.
I love the way they turned out.

Personalized Diaper cover with her nickname " Charlie " on it. Ordered off of Etsy from an amazing vendor. Feel free to contact me for her information!

Every princess needs a sparkly pair of new shoes

Personalized coloring books that I put together myself.
I found these little drawstring carousel bags that were the perfect size for crayons. I couldn't pass them up.

The centerpieces . Spinning carousel picture frames. I used my favorite pictures of her from throughout the year. From her newborn photo shoot through her 1 year photo.

Close up of the favor tags that I used for both the adult and kids favors.

The kids favors. I admit I tend go a little over board with my party favors. I can't help it. I just love giving really nice favors. Since it was the weekend before Memorial day, I thought it was the perfect time of year to give out embroidered beach bags! But of course I didn't stop there...

Inside each bag was a matching beach towel, beach ball, and a mini bottle of sunscreen.

Thank you so much for sharing this very special birthday with me!
Contact me with any questions or comments. I would love to hear from you.
